Change the license to a normal lifetime license.

A one year license is only useful if you need it to recover lost data today. It is useless to keep around in case of disaster. Few people would ever buy this kind of software with only a one year license.

add 'word' menus on a a bar across the top

"word" menus on a a bar across the top - THESE are important - could not even find the place to register. The program "might" look simple for you to use - but for us "CUSTOMERS" I could not find my way around - sry - cu tomorrow GOTD
